Zara Basics

Hello Lychees! Today's outfit is a compilation of several basic Zara pieces that I love. The first is a coat I bought a couple seasons ago because I just loved the peach color so much. I've paired the coat with a couple other basics from Zara, including this white silk top and high waisted black leggings. I am also wearing a black cashmere cardigan tied around the waist. This piece is a vintage hand-me-down from my mom, and always manages to work its way into my wardrobe when the colder months come around. Do you like transitional dressing? What are your staple pieces for winter?

All That Matters

I love finding fresh ways to rework a piece that doesn't get worn enough in my closet. For instance, this ruffled watercolor printed silk skirt by Eliot was a lovely find at Crossroads Trading Co. Since I hardly wear it, I decided to create an outfit that would give it a clean look, and so this is what I came up with. I am wearing a heather grey J. Crew pullover vest along with a black cropped leather jacket by Free People. (I'm not a huge fan of Free People clothing with the exception of this jacket!) To keep it simple, I chose this black clutch with simple gold studs and Zara ankle strap heels. Do you have pieces in your closet that don't get enough love?
